Late News

Late News are ideal for reporting major, new late-breaking news that were not available for the full paper submission deadline. Late News consist of a 2-page, double-column, anonymous submission in the same format as full papers; the paper template can be found here. Late News are submitted though EDAS to undergo peer review, and are accepted or rejected as submitted.  If accepted, Late News will be published in the Conference Proceedings, as well as in IEEE Xplore.

Submission Deadline: March 29, 2019
Author Notification: April 5, 2019
Final Submission: April 12, 2019

Open Poster

Open Posters represent an open forum for new and untested concepts.  Open Posters do not require a paper submission; instead, authors submit a poster following the template included here. Accepted posters will be presented at the conference, but not published in IEEE Xplore.

Candidate posters (size limit of 42×42 inches, or 106×106 cm) are submitted through EDAS and are evaluated in a rapid review cycle for appropriateness for the technical scope of ISOEN.  The submissions are not published in the Conference Proceedings or in IEEE Xplore.  Instead, they are distributed on electronic media to attendees at the conference. Companies are encouraged to present the technologies behind their products; pure marketing presentations are not appropriate.  Our historic acceptance rate for Open Posters is 85-95%.

When to submit an Open Poster?

  • If your company is commercializing a new sensor technology
  • If you seek collaborators for a new machine olfaction project
  • If you have a sensor patent available for licensing
  • If you are teaching a sensing technology course and need ideas for new topics to include
  • If your research project needs some fresh sensing technology ideas for future directions
