The World Forum on Internet of Things 2019 (WF-IoT 2019) seeks submissions and proposals for the Vertical and Topical Area Track portion of the Forum Program. The Vertical and Topical Tracks are intended for a general but knowledgeable audience from industry, the public sector, the research community, and IoT end users. The focus of this portion of the program is on practical applications and uses of IoT, and experience from actual deployments.

The majority of the presentations for the Vertical and Topical Tracks (V&T) are by chosen by invitation and address current issues important to IoT. In this call for submissions we are seeking the following items:

  • Suggestions for speakers to present in the Forum V&T Tracks on the subjects identified above.
  • Suggestions for assisting in organizing panels or round-tables on specific Track subtopics and in identifying panel participants.
  • Ideas for demonstrations and proposals for their organization and execution.
  • Suggestions for other formats that will help the V&T Tracks be more interactive and meaningful to the audience.
  • Submission of papers to accompany presentations for the V&T Tracks. These will be fully peer reviewed as indicated in the instructions below. The choice of presenters will be made by the individual V&T Track Chairs – and based on relevance to the individual Tracks. Selection of a presenter does not guarantee the acceptance of papers for publication.

The Vertical Tracks address IoT deployments and adoption in specific Industries and/or well-defined Application areas. The Verticals have been specifically chosen because of their importance to Ireland, to the larger European region, and their relevance to IoT in a global setting. The program brings together local and global experts on IoT in a highly interactive environment that includes presentations, panels, round table discussions, and working group sessions. Each of the Tracks may consist of a one-day (three, two-hour sessions) or a two-day (six, two-hour sessions) program.

The Topical Area Tracks address subjects important to IoT that may cover a wide range of issues including: policy and regulation, standards, aspects of IoT infrastructure, methods and techniques for IoT, and underlying cross cutting technologies. The Topical Areas have been specifically chosen because of their importance to IoT, as well as interest from the Forum’s host country. The Topical Area Tracks will explore the subjects identified above in depth, again focusing on practical issues related to adoption and experience in deployment. The program brings together local and global experts on IoT, as well as experienced end-users, in a highly interactive environment that includes presentations, panels, round table discussions, and working group sessions. Each of the Tracks may consist of a one-day (three, two-hour sessions) or a two-day (six, two-hour sessions) program.
