Out of all of the industries that technology plays a crucial role in, healthcare is definitely one of the most important. Continuous technological developments in healthcare have saved countless lives and improved the quality of life for even more. Not only has technology changed experiences for patients and their families, but it also had a huge impact on medical processes and the practices of healthcare professionals.

Technology is ever-evolving, and with that evolution comes an increasing amount of data. Healthcare/Medical interoperability is a way for organizations and hospitals to utilize information and ensure that patients can receive affordable, secure and proper care, even if they move from one provider/system to the next.

The objective of the Medical Interoperability workshop is to deliberate the current research, Industry trends and identify the gaps and opportunities in enhancing the interoperability including the standards.
